How long does it take for a design to be completed?

The timescale of a project is generally dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavour to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.

I would like you to design my site, what do I need to do now/what is the process?

If you would like to use our services all you need to do is inform us of the domain name you would like to use and send us a brief idea of your requirements. You can check domain name availability here. We will then purchase the domain in your name, purchase the right hosting package for your project and then based on your guidance,design an initial web page for you.
This is then refined/changed in consultation with the client until a satisfactory design has been reached. We will then need you to forward content and images for your site and start to design the website for you.

Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?

No, we do everything for you.

How much will it cost?

The cost of a website varies, depending upon the type of site you require. A basic site will cost approx £250+, a medium sized site £500+, aand a complex Database Driven site £800+. Obviously each site has to be treated on it is individual requirements, but these figures should give you an idea of a ballpark figure.

We request a 50% deposit for all standard sites and 40% for larger database driven projects. The balance of payment is then due on completion of the project.

Payment can be made by cheque, Bank transfer or by using Payal.

The only ongoing cost will be your annual hosting and maintenance fee.

What happens when I complete your contact form?

If you are making an enquiry about a possible site you would like created, please provide a brief outline of your requirments. We will then mail you back promptly with an idea of price/timescale and any suggestions with regard to your project. You are not obliged to use our services at any stage during this process, so feel free to use the form to ask any related questions you may have.

Do I need to send a deposit for the work?

Yes we generally ask for a 25% - 50% deposit from clients

What is ftp?

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method of transferring files (web pages for example) from your local PC to your web server. There are a variety of free ftp software programs available on the Internet and they enable you to update your website pages at any given time. When a hosting package is purchased "ftp details", consisting of the host name, User ID and password are sent to us. Although we offer to do all updates to your site, we know that you may be want your own access and therefore FTP details can be given for a minimal fee.

How do I get listed in Google?

It is free to submit to Google and you can do that here. We submit all websites we design to Google, Yahoo! and DMOZ.

What is optimisation?

All web pages should be "optimised". This will enable your site to gain a high search engine ranking, it revolves around the meta tags on your web pages, a web page that is not optimised will not appear in the search engines to any great degree. For more on optimisation please contact us.

Will we need to have a meeting?

In the majority of cases a meeting is not necessary and 90% of our sites are generally completed with contact via email and telephone only.

What aftersales support do you offer?

After the completion of a website project we are available for after sales service. Any small amendments are carried out on the website free of charge. For other amendments there will be a nominal fee. Any other support is also free. You can contact us by email (prefered) or by telephone.
